When working with metal materials, hand tools, and workshop tools, it’s more than likely that someone will injure themselves. However, we are attempting to minimize this with the help of our fabulous safety team.

We regulate the use of tools with our specially designed Safety badges that indicate the skill level with tools of the badge’s person. These badges are leveled by color, the lowest level, Blue & Purple, being unable to use shop tools without mentor supervision, to the highest, Red, being able to use all shop tools without supervision.

To advance to Green or Yellow badges, click the links below. Remember not to skip badge tests, as you will have to take them one by one.

Mental health is a very important thing to maintain during this pandemic and as such it is important to know that there are resources available to everyone during these strange times.

Mental health resources:

1-800-273-8255 – this is the national suicide prevention life line, and it is run 24/7.

Text HOME to 741741 – this will get you in contact with a crisis counselor, they are available 24/7 and your crisis doesn’t have to be life threatening. Text them even if you’re just going through a rough day with depression, anxiety, etc.

877-565-8860 – this one has a similar function to the first two but is for trans individuals, it runs from 7 am- 1 am PST, during off hours there may be volunteers that are available.

1-866-488-7386 – this one is similar to the first two ,but it is for LGBTQIA+ youth in general and is open 24/7.
